The Sparkasse zu Lübeck Start-Up Prize: Launch of the 2023 competition
In cooperation with the University of Lübeck and the Technical University of Applied Sciences Lübeck, Sparkasse zu Lübeck AG announced the official launch of the “Sparkasse zu Lübeck Start-Up Prize” competition on 13 June 2023. The prize, which is donated by Sparkasse zu Lübeck AG, awards a total of €10,000 to attractive start-up concepts from the University, the UKSH Campus Lübeck and the Technical University of Applied Sciences. It will be awarded for the eighth time already on 29 November 2023.
The University of Lübeck and Technical University of Applied Sciences Lübeck’s joint centre for start-up advice is located in the GründerCube at the Hanse Innovation Campus Lübeck. Anna Lena Paape, Managing Director of HIC GmbH, took up the management of the joint advisory service in 2022 and merged the existing start-up support structures of the two universities in Lübeck. Students, research associates, professors and graduates with entrepreneurial spirit have a central point of contact in the GründerCube and can focus on transferring their knowledge and ideas into a start-up company. The GründerCube offers support ranging from the generation of ideas to the development of a business model right up to the foundation of your own start-up. After all, only in a start-up-friendly environment can innovative ideas emerge, be turned into products or services and ultimately mature into successful business models. Both the University of Lübeck and the Technical University of Applied Sciences Lübeck have research and transfer potential relevant to start-ups.
The Sparkasse zu Lübeck Start-Up Prize generates incentives to transform scientific research results into economic success through mature business ideas. Applications may be submitted from 13 June until 15 September 2023. A shortlist will then be chosen. Following careful selection by a jury of experts, the prize will be awarded in the Audimax lecture hall at the Hanse Innovation Campus Lübeck on 29 November 2023.
