The Sparkasse Bremen opens a new district branch

The opening of the new district branch in Bremen-Gröpelingen was met with great interest and anticipation. On 24 August 2023, the day had finally come and the Sparkasse Bremen’s new location in the heart of Gröpelingen opened its doors. The event was attended by two members of the Management Board, Frauke Hegemann and Thomas Fürst, as well as many residents of Gröpelingen and a wide range of businesspeople, associations and institutions from the district. Everyone was suitably impressed.

Personal, diverse, authentic, in the heart of the district: the Gröpelingen district branch opened in the middle of the new Ohlenhof-Carrée business and service centre. Spanning around 900 m2, it offers a wealth of space for personal consultations, meetings and networking as well as a generously sized area for informative and cultural events. The new district branch was officially opened by the two members of the Management Board, Frauke Hegemann and Thomas Fürst, as well as Arne Siewert from the district branch team.

“Our advisers are ready to help you find your way in the digital world or take important decisions – whether it be about the right construction financing, insurance for everyday life, retirement plans, current accounts or comparing electricity and gas providers right up to investing in funds,” said Thomas Fürst, Member of the Management Board of the Sparkasse Bremen, explaining the district branch concept. Gröpelingen was already the eighth location he had been able to present to the people of Bremen.

As had been planned for a long time, Member of the Management Board Thomas Fürst passed his management board function on to Frauke Hegemann on 31 August. She emphasised: “We paid special attention to ensuring that the new location fits Gröpelingen. The diverse identity of the district is also reflected in the branch’s design.”
